The long silence

Hello friends,

Wonder why a very long silence from me & Mika? Well, don't blame Mika, I'm the one that being ocuppied with work and others thing that need my attention. Even Mika a bit disappointed because I have less time to play with him. You know what, he even exceed his curfew time now days. His dinner now at 9.00 pm. I'm also by 10.00pm already flat, feel lazy to open the pink lappy even though it just on the bed.

Anyhow, I will try my best to put up some moment from Mika and my baking exploring in the coming days. Please don't shy away from us yet.......keep on supporting us.

His so sweet and very cuddly even while sleeping.........luv ya!

Bonding......

This was taken using Aqie's Mommy hand phone last weekend. We all watching tv and Mika join in. Aqie slowly approach Mika and they bonding about 5 minute. Is this a lovely site to see? I'm so proud of Mika that he gradually take it easy with Aqie. Sometimes Aqie over reacting when he saw Mika. He always said" eeee.....geramnye....!" especially when Mika show his tummy. I've read that whenever cat show his tummy that show he trust people around him.

Did Mika bite or scratch? Definite! Only when Mika feel threating. Even so, Aqie still adore Mika, Aqie knows now how to see if Mika feel not comfortable when he play with Mika. Well ......learning from experience is the best way....

Something new....

Mika: Happy weekend everybody..... Can you see something new? Yong bought this from yesterday outing. Good bye green bowl......! Here come the stylish porcelain....

This while I'm having my breakfast. Don't you think the height a bit low for me?

I'm having my lunch, fish and rice.....yummy!

I think the height is about right for me to have comfortable eating. Enjoy your weekend food.....

Waiting for Yong....

Yong: Mika wants to go to sleep but I have some washing to do in the kitchen. So he waits for me at the stairs and take little nap while waiting. Very loyal.........

Investigate

Mika: Finally I get my turn now.... I have this urging to investigate these two plant pots

I follow trails of smell between this 2 pots and its still bugging me.......

I reached for the leave.........yet confused......

Then, I turn to the pot again......whose scent is this??

I'm agetate now with all this scent.....

Is my cat friend has drop by and leave his scent? I don't see him next door........

Well....I better stay here for a while since it a bit cooler here. Hot weather can drain your senses.

Marmer Chiffon Cake

Mika: I had little investigating to share with all of you but instead Yong insist want to share her excitement!

Yong: Well....thanks Mika. This is the excitement that I'm talking about. My first chiffon cake! Weeeeee.......I'm smiling until my jaw hurt!

Yong: This boy can't stop nagging...... is the cake ready!.....is the cake ready! He even stay at the kitchen to watch me mix the ingredients

Yong: The cake is so soft and not too sweet. You can see on top right, the cake has been pinched by Aqie! Thanks Kak Rima as usual for sharing this recipe. Here the recipe that I copied from Kak Rima (http://www.bisousatoi.com/)

MARMER CHIFFON CAKE

Ingredient A:

7 egg whites

1/2 tsp cream of tartar

100g sugar (I use caster sugar)

Ingredient B:

7 egg yolks

100g sugar ( I use caster sugar)

150ml full cream milk

75ml cooking oil

175g flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp chocolate powder

1 tsp chocolate paste ( I use chocolate emulco)

Method:

1) Stir B until blended. First, I whisk egg yolk and sugar, then add milk and cooking oil. Gently fold the sifted flour with baking powder and salt and set aside

2) Beat the egg white with cream of tartar until bubbly, add sugar a little at a time and continue to whip until soft peak

3. Take 1/3 of egg white mixture and add into egg yolk mixture.. fold in gently bef pouring the rest of egg yolk mixture into egg white. Divide batter equally into two portions and add cocoa powder and paste into one portion.

4. Spoon white batter and chocolate batter alternately into a 22cm chiffon pan.. bake it at 170C for 45mins.

5. Lift, turn the pan on the neck of the bottle, let stand until cold. Once cool, remove cake from pan with the help of a knife.

Simply relaxing and lemon cake

Yong: This is the cake that I bake on Saturday night. Very easy because.......jeng...jeng... I use cake mix from Pillsbury Moist Supreme Cake Mix. Sorry I forgot to take the photo of the box. Simply.....add water, oil and eggs to the cake mix. Since last two days we had a hot weather, I'm bit lazy stay at the kitchen to mix the ingredient for baking cake. Thanks to Edi (http://adorablecupcakes.blogspot.com/2011/04/cheating-lemon-cake.html) who share this cake mix since I never use any ready cake mix. I belief that making it from scratch is the best way to bake cake.

I made with round baking pan and muffin bundt pan. The taste very tangy and soft. If you are very lazy or in a hurry to make something for guest this is the best cake mix. I will try others flavour from Pillsbury

On Sunday, we all just relaxing.....watching tv and watching Mika sleeping style. He simply sleep....sleep....after breakfast sleep under the car.......after lunch sleep in the hall......after dinner sleep in the kitchen. May be because of the hot weather.....he just simply relaxing, besides Aqie not disturb him for the whole day. By the way, Aqie's yellow car will be sent to the toy shop for repair. It's been few month stranded in the kitchen

Spot on the nose

Yong: As usual, while I'm baking.....Mika will always wait and fall asleep. Very peaceful.....

Yong: When I get closer, there is something on his nose.......

Yong: O boy.....there is little wound spot on his nose...

Good boys!

I really love these pictures, kids and cat can get long together if we know how to tackle it..... Even though for a few minute! This was taken when I gave Mika his dinner and Aqie was eager to helped me.....

Yong: It's been long time since I took any photo between Mika & Aqie, my nephew or "the drama boy". Usually, every morning, if Aqie woke up early he would have his milk beside Mika but now Aqie seldom do that anymore. He has other agenda for Mika since he think he is bigger than Mika. But one thing never change though.......he will ask where is Mika if he not see him when he wake up every morning.

Mika: I had a good Sunday, yesterday.... I got a car ride twice in one day! One in the morning and one at late afternoon..

Great tummy contest

Yong: I stumble to lots of CB kitties blog that OK Cats having a tummy contest so here I sent the best ever tummy tuck from Mika. Shhhhh.....don't tell him that I snap this when he is really in dreamland.....

Morning blues....

Mika: Morning everyone....I'm having morning blues today..... I'm sitting here waiting for Yong to give my breakfast.

Mika: Yong.......hurry up!

Yong: Yes...I'm over slept today...so I'm a bit rushing get ready to work and also Mika have to wait a bit longer for his breakfast. Poor boy......sorry dear.....don't be angry ok....

Mika: This is hard.....what am I going to write? Let see......I'll say...................

Mika: O.. hai everybody......wonder why I'm with lappy? Well.....I'm take over from Yong! She is busy...busy...come home late every night...She working in finance department, so you can imagine how busy she will be in this few weeks.

Mika: Well.....I better get back to the screen...need to wrap-up before go to sleep

Orange Toesday

Mika: I'm at the dry kitchen,sitting comfortably on Aqie's chair when Yong ask me to do some presentation

Mika: I'm a bit shy though to show my toes.........
