Hiding is over......

Hello friends, this is a very long hiding........reason because Aqie's been bullying me lately. Don't know why his been behave like this all the week! Even his Mommy puzzled about his character...Yong also having word fight with him because his been naughty to me!  Thanks Yong for backing me up!

He blocked the window so that I can't see my bird friend......really frust! 

Every morning, I have to wait and entertain him before he went to school. A very stressful morning......

This is where I usually slept (under Yong's bed) if Aqie already back from school........ pity me!

Anyway, still there is good news......Mom bought new gas cooker and hood! Yong said goodbye to the 20+ year old kitchen last Saturday. Bompani has been served to us and gave us lots and lots of good food and good memories in the kitchen......As always anything new thing in the house need my seal of approval! 
Welcome Europa! Yong gonna looking forward more baking with this cooker.......hope I can have roast chicken soon!!!

Yong just can't wait to test the gas oven and blueberry cheese muffin is the first baking. As always recipe is from Kak Rima's blog.

Hiding

Shhh......I'm hiding from Aqie......Don't tell him ok....

Story of the week...

Mika: Well.......week come to an end again....before I start meowing to Yong on her slacking routine lets check on what Yong treats to herself on her not so famous baking skill.....pur...meow.............

Once she got her rectangular pie tin from Sunlik, she straight to look for the apple tart recipe in Kak Rima's blog. The taste what I heard is delicious and yummy......well luckily not my type of food. Wonder Yong can make chicken pie next time.....hmm....hmm...

Next, when she found that she had pastry puff in fridge, she want to try to make fruit vol au vent but she made a mistake by not roll the pastry and it looks ugly after it baked. Only one on the left second row looks decent . Better try again in your next baking day, Yong....

Aaaaahhhhhh, this look refreshing right! May is a hot month now, so she got idea to prepare this summer drink.The lemon barley cordial not a favourite cordial to the family. Before it become rotten, she made this cold drink by just adding a sparkling water, ice and garnish with mint leave.....meooooowwww! That my interpretation of Yong's joy when she taste it!

JB/SINGAPORE GETAWAY.......the goodies!

Yong: Hmmm.......still continue story of the trip.....:o))

We arrived at our hotel in JB around 10.00pm, the journey back from SG to JB took 1 1/2 hour. We bravely took "private taxi" which cost us SG35.00 from Queen Street to Terminal Larkin.  

On 13/05/12, after a simple Mother's Day breakfast at Parapara Cafe, Grand Paragon, and check-out, we went to Ayer Hitam, Batu Pahat for other shopping. Places where many outlets selling pottery,home decorative items, wedding accessories and others crafts. Places are heaven for a shopaholic! Too eager until forgot to snap photo! Haaaiiiiz.....

After spend  2 hours shopping , we then off to Senai to check-in our 2nd hotel, Rose Cottege, a budget hotel (RM70.00 per night-deluxe room) which took 15 minutes drive to Senai International Airport since our Monday flight quite early, 8.45 am. Within 5 minute, we out again to see my friend at Taman JP Perdana at JB to visit her new bundle of joy, baby girl. 

On 14/05/12, we safely touch down at LCCT around 9.50 am and pick-up by my sister and had our brunch! The rest of the day we just sleep and relaxing! When we unpack our bag that day......looks who's join in! 

Mika: Hmmm.....let see what stuffs inside these two bags. Sniff...sniff....

Yong: Well.....with all the tough decision.....ha...ha...we only bought t-shirts and key chains.

Souvenir from the zoo

The trays bought from Sunlik. I couldn't find those at our nearby baking shop. Need to start my baking day soon!

Aaaahhhhhh.....I love those serving plate! Those we bought at Ayer Hitam. A very good price, the rectangular plate cost RM20.00 per piece and the glass round-handle serving plate costs RM85.00

Mom going gaga about that vase, costs only RM55.00. At first Mom don't want to buy since we took flight and worry on how to carry it. Well.....well....the shop assistant can wrapped the vase in the box and Mom smile ears to ears when she hear that.....:o)) The vase safely arrive to our home. Hope Mika don't stumble to this vase like he did when he's about 1 year old. It took 6 years for Mom to find the vase that she like! 

Mika: Enough with all the story.......faster serve my dinner now! You didn't get anything for me, do you?

Yong: GULP!

Mad Monday

Mika: I was mad when to know that my over expose nap was posted by Yong....Gr....gr....gr.... I even mad when I know that they had a blast Saturday! I was not in the picture!

Yong: We had good time! He...he...he..

Even worst, this girl was snoopervise those two human! Argh.............

Yong: Suddenly he jump to the side of the lappy........what's his up to now?

Fresh Sunday!

Show of......

Yong: February is birthday month for Mom and Aqie, yesterday we celebrate Mom's birthday. I manage to bake simple and easy rainbow cake. So let me show of my rainbow cake.....:o)

SIMPLE RAINBOW CAKE

Just bought any plain cake mix, follow instruction from the box........very easy right!

Then, divide into 4 if you use small baking pan, colour them with your favourite colour.........

I use buttercream to spread each layer and then top the rest of the cake with buttercream too and just using icing decorating alphabates to wrote "happy birthday". I don't dare to attempt to do difficult design...:op

Taadaaa.....! A simple and delicious cake for Aqie to enjoy who are so trilled to eat it.

Mika: Now it's time for me to show of ! Move over Yong!

My powerful claws are force to be reckon for every cats in the neighbourhood!

This soft paws too make every one in the house falls in love.......Ooops! Sorry its a bit off white! Must ask Yong to take bath this weekend.

Tocktober......the last day

Mika: Today is the last day of October.......all friends have show off their tocks so it's my turn now.....

The hook tock! Har...har...

Are you miss me?

Mika: Hi friends, you all must be wandering what with the long silence. Actually I'm not feeling well last week as I had fever with tempt. 40C. I still recovering from sore eyes but it's ok now as I can open my left eyes not like last week. Yong call me 'Pirate Mika' without the black eye-patch!

Yong: Yeah...... Mika looks like pirate! I also involve in this silence too. Since I got back from the Kuching vacation, I've been busy with work like mad! Everyday I arrived home late, even I have to force myself to work on Saturday! At the moment, I'm postponing my baking activity. I really miss it!

Mika: This is me last week, always sleep and lay on bed......I guess the experience being left alone during Yong's vacation has affect my health this time.

Yong: Mika never had health issue before, but with the boarding experience......you never know right. Well.....I can't never give up to support him with love and cuddle.....

Mika: Aqie, was such a great kid during that time. He behave good and really care for my health. He even persuade Yong to quickly send me to the vet. Well......kid will be always kid, he still can't resist to bully me but with less roughness.......he..he...

Yong: Since I never got a chance to celebrate Mika's Gothca Day last weekend, I bought his favourite chicken today and got his new tiger- stripped collar

Mika: Is this for real, a box of KFC .....all..........for me!

Mika: Hurry!.....I'm really hungry.......

Yong: The chicken need to be shredded......first laaaaa....now it's ready for you.... your highness.......
