Lite & easy........

Yong: While Mika taking his nap, I be able to log in the internet and start upload the photo. Doesn't he look so cute and priceless to see this peaceful side!

This is what we had for our breakfast today, spaghetti meatball (top) and Laksa Penang (bottom) from yesterday left over.

The Laksa Penang was prepared by my sister at her in laws house and brought some for our guest....as usual what ever my sister cook it will be a hit. When the gravy kept a night, it taste much better.

The guests arrived and they just " serang dapur" (straight go to the kitchen) They chit chat about 30 minute while waiting for my spaghetti ready to be serve, they had the Laksa Penang first.

The foods are full on the table....very satisfying as the guests enjoy every minute of it!

"Makan jangan tak makan. Bersilang tangan masing-masing menjamu selera!"

This is what was left for me to indulge, on the left is chiffon cake which recipe I got from the famous, Kak Rima and the chocolate moist cake is the recipe I got it my neigbour's relative. Next entry I will share with you the recipes ok.

Aaaahhhh......tomorrow back to work! And face the busy schedule as usual.....Have a productive week a head everybody!

Kuching trip 2

Since the wheather was so hot, we did not go to the beach instead we headed to crocodile farm. We came during school day, our cousin are kind enough to get their kids 1 off day from school! Aqie was so happy that he can go with his BFF.



Welcome to the Jon's Crocodile Farm & Zoo. This place located outside of the town & it took about 45 minute to get there.




This is a first time Aqie saw real life crocs and he never stop chatting and call out what they are doing and amazed how big they are....We missed the show session which start at 11.00 am.

This croc was caught by the village people.

On the way back home,we stopped to vase shop and bought some souvenirs and Mom also bought a vase. You can also visit their work area and try making the vase yourself.

We visited Cat Museum on the last day. You must come here if you are a cat lover. After that we when to look for Kek Lapis Sarawak. Mira's Cake House was recommended by my Auntie which located near Waterfront. Don't worry you can taste the cake before you buy them.

These two cat figures that catched my eyes and I thought they are so cute! The left was handcraft with seashell. Very creative.





















The morning before we fly back to KL, we headed to Pasar Tamu in Satok to buy "terubuk masin" a famous salted fish. When you in Sarawak this is a must to buy! Photo above shows Mom & my sister listening to the fish man explaining different type of grade and ultimately we bought 26 pieces! Well....luckily we have a spare luggage........phewwww.....

Kuching trip 1

Yong: Finally I get to upload the photos and write something about our vacation. Its great to see the family after the last time we've been there about 10 years ago. The kids are the most enjoyful to meet new family and their cousins. The wheather there is very hot, only the day when we fly back it was raining.


Aqie new BFF in Sarawak, my cousin's son, Reza. They take care of each other and share the game together.

Here we had our dinner near Waterfront.

How fortunate that we met these 2 macho cats! I particularly like this grey tabby.

Of course shopping is one of the agenda! You can get anything at the main bazaar near Waterfront. This time around I bought 4 t-shirts, several key-chains and fridge magnets.

After we done shoppping, Aqie pursuade us to go for fish feeding and all the cousins' kids join in! You can imagine how to handle all those energetic kids!

P/S: Wonder about Mika? Well, I called the boarding center on Wednesday, Mika doing just fine but he is stressed out. The staff very kind enough to MMS his photo to me. Will give you the full story later ya....We will fly back to KL this afternoon, how short time is! Cheers everyone...have a wonderful weekend.

The day when.......

Yong: This is the day when we sent Mika to the pet boarding center in Kelana Jaya. He refuse to be photographed.

Finally I get to his face. He's so sad and scared. You can see the green bag besides him....I put my t-shirt,his toys,his vitamin and some food inside. You'll be fine Mika.......

This is when we're at the KLIA waiting for boarding. We took Firefly flight and landed at Kuching Airport around 1.15pm. Aqie lost his pillow when we arrived at Kuching airport while waiting for my uncle and cousins to fetch us.

I've yet to call the pet boarding center.......but I will do it tomorrow.

Raya story....

Mika: Hello friends, good to see you all again. We had a busy week last week and Yong really...really slacking on updating the blog. Sorry about that but we do blog walking to our cats friend page and never missed to read your story. Here are our story for the Eid, unfortunately no family photo as the photographer busy in the kitchen and forget to snap any good photo but nevertheless she not forget to take my photo though!

Aqie such a good boy and very helpful to Yong. He was trilled to help Yong baking. Yong had promised him to bake cupcake with purple cream topping.

Yong baked oreo cupcake and put a little bit of blueberry filling and purple colour for the cream topping. Aqie was so joyful to eat it!

Well, I also had a delicious menu too for the Eid but only to get it on the 2nd day as Yong was so busy on the 1st day. The smell was so tempting that I new the meal going to be so delicioussss!

Hurry Yong!!! I can't wait! Luckily Yong's pijamas was not torn out by my claw.....purrr...meow....

I had KFC chicken without the skin of course! But Yong bit stingy as she only give me 1 cup of the shredded chicken. Anyway, I enjoy this special ocassion.

Nom....nom...nom...who doesn't love chicken is a wasteful......

Recap.....August activities

Yong: Well, August coming to an end, soon we will celebrating Hari Raya Edil Fitri as well as our Merdeka Day. How times go by so fast.....I'm not updating much for our Aug activities.....:o(

Anyway, I prepare few recap of what we doing.....

Since I'm start baking and try new recepies,never had any order. However on 1st week of Aug, my sister approach me that her officemate want to make cake order. Well I'm not that good yet, anyway I took the challenge and make 2 cakes, choc cheese brownies and marble chiffon cake which both I took the recepies from Kak Rima. Thank you to my sister's friends who have courage to try the order. I hope you all enjoy despite the lack of presentation. I will practice and practice........

2nd week of Aug, we had a rainy day almost of the week, here Mika trying to lick the rain water. He likes rain water. Mika: Wait a minute! Is anybody see me doing this? Better not, someone will see me I'm not fasting! Yong: Ha...ha...betul ke posa????

On Sunday, 3rd week of Aug, Mika had an argument with Mr Kickaroo......now they no friend anymore.What shall I do to make them friend again........hu...hu...

Last week,me & my Mom had our iftar at Concorde KL Hotel. Scrumptious and plenty of food. We ate until full.....What a day and we really enjoy it!

There goes our August activities......eventhough I always back late from the office but my weekend always full with other activities as if I'm working all day without stop! Now we had only 2 day before Hari Raya surely my day event busiest. I had repeat order for the chiffon cake and I also decided to make 2 cakes for Hari Raya, chocolate cake and blueberry cheesecake. Wait for the next entry ok......

A trip to Bukit Bintang

Yong: Yesterday, my Mom & I went a little trip to our Kuala Lumpur(KL) city, a famous shopping area, Bukit Bintang. Never plan to go to this area, I ask my Mom to accompany me to find where is Concorde Hotel since I will have training there on 15 & 16 Aug. We took public transport as I'm not a good driver in KL ...actually never drove to KL anyway.....huhu. So we start our journey as early as 8.30 am taking komuter train in Shah Alam, when we reach KL Sentral, we walk about 15 minutes to KL Sentral Monorail. We headed first to Concorde Hotel then once I now where it is, I suggest to Mom why not we go to Bukit Bintang. I'm so trilled and amazed with the transformation of Bukit Bintang. The last time I was there in 1993 during my LCCI study in MARA. The area not so hassle and bustle like today, if I can recalled only one major shopping mall, LOT 10 which the famous "lepak" area. Now the area have more then 3 new shopping mall. The latest is Pavilion. I'm so excited to go each of them but I choose the newest first.

The first thing to do is taking photo! We got there around 10.45 am, so not many people yet.

My turn to take photo, inside of the mall. Lots of high class boutiques, you see banner at the back said Tokyo Street, that's where we headed to which located at Level 6. Since it's Ramadan(fasting month), we can't try food here but nevertheless I bought a wonderful tiny cake which cause me RM12.oo. I've heard this cake from Kak Rima, so why not to try.

It's really good when not so many people yet at the mall. Anything from Japan can be found here. My interest is Daiso, they sold all item at RM5.00 and in there I found what I really wanted. Super excited when I finally got them! We will definitely go there and explore more....hmmm..... may be December, during the YES month.The Year End Sales of course!! Enough time to starts savings for shopping.....:o)) I already spot a grill pan to add my collection.

I reach home around 3.00pm, when I show what I bought to Mika, his give a detective sniff.

Mika: What is this? I don't think it fit my face.

Yong: This is ramekin if you really want to know. I can make souffle, pudding and creme brulee, even better, molten chocolate cake.

This is the cake that I bought, 7 Sins of Chocolate the name of this cake and it from Delectable by Su. And its really sinful, full of chocolate flavour. We ate during 'sahur' this morning.

Very delicious and worth price to pay for. I left it half and will eat today after breaking fast.....

Yong: Shhhhhh.......I tell you all the story until this boy fell asleep. Anyway it's Sunday , so have good rest everybody.......
