Johor Bahru - Day 1 & Day 2

Day 1 - 25 Feb 2011
Event - Just hang around in JB town. We stayed at Grand Paragon. At night we ate the famous mee bandung at Kampung Melayu, JB













Day 2 - 26 Feb 2011
Event - Pontian & Tanjung Piai


We visited my friend's house in Pontian and later that afternoon we headed to JB National Park in Tanjung Piai, the southern most tip of mainland Asia. The weather on that day is extremely hot.

We had our dinner at Steamboat & Grill Cottage at Taman Austin Perdana,JB

Hiding in the bag

Mika: Yong going away for 4 days, so I slowly sneak in her bag......

Mika: Shhhhh......don't tell her ok!

Mika: Can you guess where I'm sitting?

Mika: This is Aqie's baby seat which was abandon quite a while. Yong....can you put my bowl here?

Yong: You not a baby, you know.....

Mika: Can I just pretend for a while....??

This is cat photo taken by my cousin, Adik Nash during his holiday in Rome during winter 2010. There is no show in Rome so the cats can wander around the area. Now his on holiday again in some part of Europe, so will see if he can capture any cute cats.

P/S: I'll be away for 4 days to Johor Bahru to meet my best friends. I'm not sure can do blogging or not. Wait & see ok.....

Assemble Aqie's gift

Mika: I like plastics bag! I gave Yong laser eye not to take away this huge plastic bag.....


Yong: This was on last Thursday night when we assemble Aqie's gift. Very fortunate that Aqie slept early that night.


Mika: Yong! I wanna help! I wanna help!

Mika: I can play for a while before sleep. Hm...I wonder if I can fit to this box....

Mika: Squeezeeee.......

Mika: ........

Mika: I'm not that fat....can you see the box bulging? If not then I'm not fat after all....

Yong: Are you sure you comfortable?

Mika:#??#%??

Yong: A cheerful gift for a cheerful boy!

Missing in action and Happy Birthday Aqie!

Mika: Can you please serve my lunch before the guests arrive? I'll be out of side until situation is back to normal.....

Yong: Sadly....Mika missed his lunch! While I'm preparing his meal, my cousin and his family arrived and before my eyes, Mika is missing in action!


Anyway, all the 2 days works pay off as Aqie's birthday party went well. So fast Aqie turned 3 years old and he is trying to act like an adult. He is enjoying the day with losts of friends and play unstoppable.

His favourite hero, Ultraman, theme on the cake by his choice...

Even his hair looked like Ultraman! Main menu, we order nasi lemak, pulut panggang and koici labu from Aqie's Daddy cousin. Side menu like mee hailam, chicken nugget, fries and jelly we prepare ourself. And of course, I baked 2 types of cakes so scroll further down ok.....

Mom and I bought "Thomas tri-scooter" for Aqie. He like it!

Taaadaaa.....! these are the cakes that I prepare on Saturday, chocolate almond cake and chocolate cheese brownies. I will post the chocolate almond cake on Monday and the brownie is from our famous Kak Rima - http://www.bisousatoi.com/. Hope you all have a good week a head....

Busy...busy...busy...

Mika: Wah!!!.... so many goodies for Aqie's guests. Yong will be quite busy for next 2 days, so there will be delay for blogging...

Yong: Finally, Friday at 11.45 pm, we finished pack all the goodies bags.....

Aqie: Hi Mika, look at my new haircut! Do you like it?

Talking Tuesday

Yong: Today is a public holiday in Malaysia for Prophets Muhammad's Birthday. We need to do some shopping to prepare for Aqie's birthday this coming Sunday. Mika will be alone until late afternoon. This morning, Mika made us laugh by his colourful character.





Mika: What!!! I'm alone again!



Yong: Ok...ok...I give you chicken bone!


Mika: Hm...hm....what a big chicken bone!

Mika: How should I grab this?? The smell soooooo wonderful.........

Mika: Mom, I want the chicken bone.....I don't want to be alone.....

Mom: My poor boy.....chicken bone not good for you my dear. We just out for a while....be good ok....

We got back around 3.00pm, we all so tired and took some nap and Mika hang out outside the house all evening. Once I finished bathing and ready to clear all the shopping stuff, Mika came back from his outside patrol...well it almost 7.00pm and its time for his dinner.

Mika: Lots of stuffs! Hope there are some for me......

Mika: Yong! I want my dinner!

Mika: Lets check out what the family bought from the shopping. Party goodies for Aqie's birthday

Mika: This is Aqie's favourite chips..... Where is my goodies????

Aqie: Morning Mika....my birthday is coming up. Should I got a new haircut?

Aqie: Oooo Mika...you should join the party! Love ya!!!!
